Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the company fleet on a daily basis. Ensure all PM (Preventive Maintenance) and scheduled maintenance are completed on time. Track upcoming maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service intervals. Conduct regular PTI (Pre-Trip Inspection) follow-ups and ensure units are safe and road-ready. Identify maintenance issues proactively and report problems before they become major repairs. Check maintenance status and follow up with shops, mechanics, and vendors. Personally verify fleet condition and maintenance when necessary. Search for and source new trucks/units as the company continues to expand. Compare pricing, condition, mileage, maintenance history, and availability of potential units. Maintain accurate fleet records for trucks, trailers, maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Monitor and control fleet-related expenses. Prepare and submit expense reports to Accounting on time with proper documentation. Coordinate with Dispatch, Drivers, Accounting, and Management regarding fleet issues. Make sure all fleet-related tasks are completed on time without delays. Follow up on pending issues until they are fully resolved. Report major maintenance, safety, or expense issues directly to management. Keep management updated on fleet condition, upcoming maintenance, and operational needs

Required Skills

Previous experience in trucking fleet management or fleet operations. Strong knowledge of trucks, trailers, PM schedules, PTI, and general maintenance. Ability to identify mechanical and maintenance issues. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for fleet operations. Strong communication and follow-up skills. Ability to control and track expenses accurately. Comfortable working with drivers, mechanics, repair shops, vendors, and accounting. Strong attention to detail. Must be reliable, punctual, and proactive. Must be able to handle a fast-paced trucking environment and prioritize urgent issues.
